Help Us Defeat ALS

I know  I haven’t blogged in quite some time!! BUT I am writing this blog today for a very important cause that affects me personally. At the beginning of this year my family found out that my Dad was diagnosed with ALS… also known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease. This hit us all pretty hard.. no one wants to lose their Dad!! But we are taking this day by day and my Dad is so strong and positive and I love him for that! My parents and the rest of my family have such a strong faith in God that we will make it through this… the prayers and support of family and friends helps us through this as well.

My brother and sister inlaw have created a team and will be joining the Bellingham Walk To Defeat ALS and they need our help! If you live in the Lynden or Bellingham, Washington area and would like to join their team you can do so at the link below… or if you would like to show your support, but don’t feel you can do the walk, you can also make a donation on the link below as well.

Please keep my Dad and my Mom in your prayers… we can all fight this together!

HALF PRICE SALE!!!

Yup! That’s right! I have several items in my shop that are HALF PRICE!!! It’s mostly scarves, but I have some baby items and fingerless gloves on sale too.

Why am I slashing my prices you ask? Well, the truth is… we need money! There are bills that need to be paid and groceries that need to be bought. Times are hard for us right now, as it is for a lot of people. And selling stuff online is one of our ways to make it through… so I figured I’d have this sale to maybe help us out a little more.

I would like to ask you all a favor… can you please share this sale with all your friends and family. And most importantly, prayers are needed. I’m just so tired of being stressed out all the time.

So now… here are some of the items I have at HALF PRICE!! And the prices have already been reduced, so no coupon codes are needed!

Donations Being Collected For Cancer Treatment

Hello and thank you for taking the time to read this. My father inlaw is in need of radiation treatment and chemotherpy, he is scheduled to start his treatments in 2 weeks and will be under going them for 6 weeks. I am collecting donations for the costs of the medical bills and his living needs during this time. My father inlaw is a good man that has worked his entire life and has never asked for anything. Back in January he started getting a lump on his right breast which quickly grew into a softball size lump, well being a hard headed man he is this was kept secret from us up until I got a call at 3am one morning that he was in pain and needed to get to the hospital. Needless to say I drove down to him and took him in and much to my surprise and shock this was unveiled to me. He was referred to a specialist that wanted to do surgery right away and remove the lump. After a biopsy was done it was determined that the lump was malignant cancer and that the therapy was needed as soon as he healed from the surgery, because they were unable to remove 100% of the cancer. My father inlaw is the kind of guy everyone likes to be around and never has a bad thing to say about anyone or anything….. He is too young to be going through this but unfortunately this is just the way life works and we are dealing with it daily, our problem is that up to this point all the Doctor visits, medication and the actual surgery we are all broke (let me add that my father continued to work the whole time this was going on, including as soon as he was released from the hospital after surgery) But what the doctors are telling us is that he will be too bad off to continue to have an income during the six weeks of treatment and that’s where I ask if there is anyone that can donate even a penny would be great and this could really help him. I hope that everyone can find it in their heart to donate even just a lil bit…….

Coprolite… aka Dino Poo :)

We have come across an awesome discovery! We have found Coprolite, or what we like to say… Dino Poo! Of course it is fossilized and they look and feel like rocks… it’s just that these rocks look like poop, LOL!

ANYWHO… We have literally come across a giant pile of crap! 😀 We have found them in many sizes, from small to ginormous!! Right now I have some of the smaller coprolite listed in my etsy shop. We have been selling a “crap load” of coprolite on ebay, and I wanted to see how well they did on etsy. We have cut into several pieces and have found many with the rare crystallization, which make them look like geodes. They also have some very pretty coloration in them too with reds, yellows, and even purple!

We have had a paleontologist friend take a look at them and they seem to think they come from Raptors. We have done some research and have found out that they come from the Triassic period which was 203 to 250 million years ago!  And, recently as we were picking up some more specimens we found some Dinosaur bones, including claws and turtle shell.  So, needless to say we were ecstatic to verify that we really were finding coprolite!

By clicking on the pictures, it will take you to the listing in my etsy shop. The second picture is an example of the variety of cuts we have made.

Also, we are not willing to share the location of where we find these, so please don’t ask. Thanks!

On another note… my black skull rings are BACK IN STOCK in my shop! And I’m planning on listing one in Antique Silver later on today! So be sure to check out my shop!

ONE DAY ONLY DOLLAR SALE!!!

That’s right! I am planning a ONE DAY ONLY DOLLAR SALE on ALL of my coffee cozies in my etsy shop!!! I’m ready to add some new stock into my shop, but before I do, I really need to dwindle down on my coffee cozy inventory. So what better way than to just make them all ONE DOLLAR?!?! So be sure to tell all your friends… or you can buy a bunch of them and GIVE them to your friends :). They make great gifts!

So on TUESDAY JULY 3RD be sure to head on over to my etsy shop and SHOP, SHOP, SHOP! Cuz this sale will only last ONE DAY!!! Mark it on your calendars :).
