HALF PRICE SALE!!!

Yup! That’s right! I have several items in my shop that are HALF PRICE!!! It’s mostly scarves, but I have some baby items and fingerless gloves on sale too.

Why am I slashing my prices you ask? Well, the truth is… we need money! There are bills that need to be paid and groceries that need to be bought. Times are hard for us right now, as it is for a lot of people. And selling stuff online is one of our ways to make it through… so I figured I’d have this sale to maybe help us out a little more.

I would like to ask you all a favor… can you please share this sale with all your friends and family. And most importantly, prayers are needed. I’m just so tired of being stressed out all the time.

So now… here are some of the items I have at HALF PRICE!! And the prices have already been reduced, so no coupon codes are needed!

  Hello Kitty Toddler Hat

Hello Kitty Cowl Scarf

Fruit Salad Long Skinny Scarf

Pink Flower Lariat Scarf

Coprolite… aka Dino Poo :)

We have come across an awesome discovery! We have found Coprolite, or what we like to say… Dino Poo! Of course it is fossilized and they look and feel like rocks… it’s just that these rocks look like poop, LOL!

ANYWHO… We have literally come across a giant pile of crap! 😀 We have found them in many sizes, from small to ginormous!! Right now I have some of the smaller coprolite listed in my etsy shop. We have been selling a “crap load” of coprolite on ebay, and I wanted to see how well they did on etsy. We have cut into several pieces and have found many with the rare crystallization, which make them look like geodes. They also have some very pretty coloration in them too with reds, yellows, and even purple!

We have had a paleontologist friend take a look at them and they seem to think they come from Raptors. We have done some research and have found out that they come from the Triassic period which was 203 to 250 million years ago!  And, recently as we were picking up some more specimens we found some Dinosaur bones, including claws and turtle shell.  So, needless to say we were ecstatic to verify that we really were finding coprolite!

By clicking on the pictures, it will take you to the listing in my etsy shop. The second picture is an example of the variety of cuts we have made.

Also, we are not willing to share the location of where we find these, so please don’t ask. Thanks!

On another note… my black skull rings are BACK IN STOCK in my shop! And I’m planning on listing one in Antique Silver later on today! So be sure to check out my shop!

Long Time No Blog!

I know, I know… it has been wwwaaaaaayyyy too long since I have blogged. Although I will say a lot has been going on lately. The weather is getting warmer, flowers are blooming, birds singing… so during these nice days we like to play outdoors. Our latest thing has been gold panning… I’m still in the learning process, but it’s fun to watch Jake do what he loves.

Unfortunately, I haven’t been doing a whole lot of crocheting… I do have a few new things that I still need to take pictures of and get listed in my shop. And I’m in the middle of working on two new items… they will eventually get done :).

Now, for the greatest news….. after being together for almost 7 years, Jake and I have finally decided to get married. We both decided we do not want a wedding, so we’re going to have a Justice of the Peace wedding… which we are planning to have on Friday, April 13th. We are both very excited! I’m also very excited that my parents will get to be here to witness our marriage. And for those of you who don’t know me… I do not like, nor do I ever, wear dresses! But, for this joyous occasion I have decided I want to wear a dress. And after hours of searching online (because the only store we have in town is Walmart!! Ugh!) I finally found a dress that “wowed” me (as my little sister would say). Once I finally decided what size I needed to get, I went to try and order the dress, and it was out of stock… so then I was back to square one! I kept the page of the dress I loved open and kept checking back to see if my size was in stock… finally I happened to check again (for the 5th time that day) and it was back in stock!! I immediately called my Mom to let her know :).  Needless to say, we were both excited!

Here’s a picture of my dress… Pretty right?

I’m definitely looking forward to our special day, but I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with this wonderful man I love!

Stay Warm With Chunky Yarn!

I have been trying out some projects using chunky yarn. Now that I have the right kind of crochet hook, I absolutely love working with chunky yarn!! For Christmas I had gotten a “Knifty Knitter” from my Grandma… she had bought it for herself to use a few years ago to make some hats, but never got around to it, so she passed it onto me!

So I decided to start with something easy like a hat. I will have to do some searching online for other cool patterns.  Now when I was starting out with the hat, I had to start over a few times, but once I got the hang of it (and read the directions correctly!! LOL!) it was super easy!!

And of course when I made the hat, I had to make a scarf that matched!! But instead of a cowl scarf like I usually do, I decided to make just a regular long scarf but use 2 different colors. I personally think they turned out great! And they are SO SOFT!! Oh, and I of course have both the hat and the scarf available for sale in my etsy shop :).

Infinity Scarves

When Jake and I were in Arizona last week, we had made a stop at Goodwill (shocking!!) and I had found some beautiful jersey knit fabric with an Asian floral design on it. I’m not exactly sure how many yards I got, but it only cost me $2!! I’m not sure which fabric store it originally came from because there was a Michael’s, a Hobby Lobby, and a Joann’s all in the same shopping area as Goodwill!!

Anywho!! Of course I just HAD to get the fabric and my first idea I came up with to make with it was an infinity scarf. Now I don’t usually make infinity scarves because there are many people on etsy who do sell them… and I personally know someone on etsy who sells them too… and I don’t like to feel like I copy other people’s ideas. So I tried making just one to see how it does…. it sold within the first 30 minutes I had it listed!! I think that’s a record!! So today I used up the rest of the fabric and made two more. I’m hoping they sell just as quickly.

So if you want one, you better get one while you still can!! I only have 2 left!!
